Erica Driver is a painter in Little Compton, Rhode Island (USA). Working primarily on location, she creates vibrant, detailed paintings of New England gardens, greenhouses, landscapes and places where people live and work. Her paintings combine acrylic paint marker, acrylic paint and ink on wood panel.

The National Midyear Exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art is one of the country’s longest-running national juried exhibitions. Held annually for more than eight decades, the Midyear Exhibition highlights the diversity, skill, and innovation of American visual art. This year, ~85 works were selected from ~830 submissions received.

The Annual Juried Members Exhibition is an opportunity for the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) to expose contemporary visual arts to a wide audience. This prominent showcase highlights the work of emerging and established artists in the Northeast. This year, ~60 artists were selected for inclusion by juror Robert Calafiore, Associate Dean of Finance and Administration, Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.

agriCultural: A Biennial Exhibition at the New Bedford Art Museum is a collaboration between the museum and the Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership (SEMAP). The exhibition features works by artists in the South Coast region of Massachusetts and Rhode Island who are farmers or take deep inspiration from the world of agriculture. It was juried by Suzanne de Vegh, Executive Director of New Bedford Art Museum, and Brad Fesmire, Program Director of SEMAP.

“In a more traditional vein are three drawings by Erica Driver of pregnant women (or perhaps, all of the same expectant woman). “Waiting,” “Blue” and the untitled third piece focus on the swollen-with-child figures from shoulders to hips. No faces are seen and the anonymity suggests a spiritual commonness between all mothers and all those that will be.“
